11 January - Tasmanian Innovative Genius

Since we moved back to Tasmania, I have not failed to be stunned by the genius ideas that I see in everyday life.

Things like arrows telling dumb people where to walk in a shopping centre; or
4000 pedestrian walkways marked in the shopping centre carpark; or

This one - A new travelator that got upgraded recently, with lovely new toilets and parents room at the bottom.

EXCEPT - the travelator is too thin to accomodate prams, wheelchairs, trolleys etc.
they even have a sign telling you not to use these things on there!!!

So how else do the parents get to the parents room. or disabled people get to the disabled toilets?
they use the OTHER travelator at the opposite end of the shopping complex, and then go through the entire carpark to get there....

I guess that explains one of my points above though....the 4000 pedestrian walkways in the carpark are for the parents and wheelchair bound people desperately trying not to wet themselves!!!!
