A friend (who is as old as me) posted something on Facebook today which got me reminiscing (as we old people do)
It was a 'like if you remember this' post with a picture of 'Catweasle'. (Ok everyone. Google that now!)
Which got me thinking about how odd it was as a kids show on tv (theres a hint for your googling) and to be honest, it was more than a little scary.
Which then got me to 'Worzel Gummidge'. The scarecrow that came to life every day and got up to all kinds of hi jinx in the town to then go back to his field and 'scarecrow' again.
Im sure someone thought it was a good idea, but my god, as a 9 yo it was positively terrifying.
They may as well have just stuck some clowns in my bedroom every night. The fear factor when i was trying to sleep would have been about the same I reckon.
